Our Walking Path to the Sea & Via Verde

One of the pleasures of staying at Casale Orgogliosa is the possibility to reach the sea on foot, along a quiet and scenic route immersed in nature.
The walking path from the Casale to the beach is approximately 800 meters and takes about 10–15 minutes at a relaxed pace. It is a pleasant walk, especially in the morning or late afternoon, and also offers direct access to the Via Verde dei Trabocchi, the beautiful coastal cycling and walking path that runs along the sea.
What the walk is like
The path begins gently, following a dirt road through vineyards and a small wooded area. This first section is peaceful and surrounded by nature.
It then continues briefly along a quiet paved road with no traffic, before reaching the only part that requires a bit more attention: the crossing of the Strada Adriatica. This is a busier road and should be crossed carefully.
After crossing, there is Via Verde, and just after, the sea and the beach. From here, you can also continue along the Via Verde to reach San Vito Marina.
A note on the landscape
Casale Orgogliosa sits at about 65 meters above sea level, so the walk towards the beach is gently downhill, while the return includes a pleasant uphill stretch. This change in elevation is part of what gives the area its open views and sense of space.
Please note that parts of the path are not illuminated, so in the evening or after dark it’s best to keep this in mind.
